Okay, okay, okay... so I know I already have a little about me on my homepage but that's for business. If you want to get to know me a little more personally, here goes nothing!
I'm lucky enough to have married my high school sweetheart, Kristen, and together we have three sons. Our oldest is Benson and like many 5-year-old boys, he's obsessed with dinosaurs. (Like over the top, eat, sleep, and breathe obsessed.) In 2021, he also became a big brother to our twins, Ellison and Greyson. Being told we were having twins was definitely the biggest surprise of our lives but it's turned out to be the best adventure we could imagine.
Kristen and I met while attending Edmond North High School, which is coincidentally where I now work. I'm lucky enough to spend most of my time within an arm's reach of a camera, teaching broadcasting and film classes. My students: make short films; produce an announcement show and a sports show; run live broadcasts of assemblies, athletic and performing arts events; and keep me laughing all day long. I love that my day job allows me to hone my craft while passing on much of what I learn to some pretty amazing students. Kristen is the brains of our house and on top of making sure we all live to see another day, she is the Social Media Manager for Sonic Drive-In (yeah, she's kind of a big deal,) and she also finds time to help me run this side hustle. If it weren't for her, I'd miss all your messages and you'd never get your edits back.
I know there are a lot of photographers and videographers in Edmond to choose from and I appreciate you considering me. Right now, I do all kinds of work. I shoot portraits for families, couples, and high school seniors. I love getting to do newborn and baby milestone sessions. I even work with brands for lifestyle and product photography. On the video side of things, I make a lot of announcement videos for social media, travel films, and even the occasional wedding video. Getting to push myself creatively is honestly what I live for so if you can dream it and it involves a camera, I'd love to help you bring it to life. Okay- end of self promoting portion of this blog post.
Besides photography and videography, I love the outdoors. I try to make as much time as I can to hike, cycle, mountain bike, skateboard, paddle board, and kayak. Combining the outdoors and cameras is my sweet spot and something I'm working toward making a bigger part of my life.
